For those in town – hellos and big hugs as we kick off the weekend with drinks and delicious small bites. If you’re looking for a place to grab dinner beforehand, check out our local guide.
Dress code: Dressy casual, like you’re going out to dinner.
Hudson is having a surprise evening Flag Day parade... which of course is ongoing during our ceremony, outside our wedding venue.
Because of this, we’re moving the day up 1 hour (from 5pm to 4pm) to ensure everyone can get there as smoothly as possible and we can have our ceremony with (hopefully) a bit of peace and quiet. Thank you all for your flexibility!
Transportation guideDavid & Jacq get married! Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside in the garden. There is parking at the venue, with the option to leave your car overnight.
Please arrive with time to spare - the ceremony will begin promptly at 4
Dress code: Semi-Formal. Embrace the beginning of summer and have fun with it! Think bright, playful, and classy. Suits and ties encouraged.
Follow up the ceremony with a happy evening of food, drink, and celebration. Dinner and dancing will be indoors.
We’ll keep the party going at the town’s best dive bar, located next door to the wedding venue!
Weather permitting, we’ll be hanging outside for a while at this delicious local bakery – come swing by and grab a pastry on your way out of town!
Getting to the wedding: Because of the parade, we are only able to offer a shuttle to those staying at Rivertown lodge. For those staying elsewhere, you will need to walk or arrange your own transport. If you are staying on the North side of Warren St, note that walking might be your best option as many streets will be closed to cars. We are so sorry about any inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s flexibility!
Getting home: A looping shuttle is available to all guests, starting at 10:30. It will run down Warren St – Hudson’s main street, making stops along the way and ending at Rivertown Lodge.
Important note: Because of the parade, many streets in Hudson will be closed for street parking and driving on Saturday. Please review the following information when planning your parking and driving on that day.
In your downtime, there’s lots to do in the town of Hudson and the beautiful surrounding area. We’ve put together a doc of our favorite spots!
We encourage you to book early, as Hudson is a popular place to visit and accommodations have limited capacity! As it’s a small town, local hotels don’t offer room blocks. Note that there are Uber and Lyft locally, but they are not always reliable at night.
Hudson has a great array of cute rentals with lots of personality. On average, these tend to be a bit more affordable than the local hotels. Staying in downtown Hudson (near or off of Warren Street) will put you within walking distance of all the events!
Former movie theatre from 1928 turned adorable boutique hotel. We’ll be staying here (and it’s also the location for our welcome event)!
7-room boutique hotel towards the north end of the Warren St.
